6 Questions To Ask Yourself This Week
Yesterday, in the northern hemisphere, we celebrated the autumn equinox.
Autumn equinox is a time to not only acknowledge the changing seasons, but also to reflect on personal growth over the year to date and look for opportunities to let go of things that no longer serve us.
Reflection is a powerful tool for intentional career development and this is the perfect time to look back at your accomplishments since January and set intentions for the remainder of 2024.
This week, I challenge you to set aside 30 minutes of solo time without distractions and reflect on the following journal prompts.
What abundance have you experienced so far in 2024?
What important projects/initiatives have you brought to fruition? What are some accomplishments you are proud of? Just like autumn is a time to celebrate the harvest and hard work of seasons prior, be sure to take time to celebrate your own accomplishments and efforts.
How have you grown personally and professionally since the beginning of the year? What changes have you been implementing and working on?
What areas of your life feel aligned and balanced? Where do you feel like you’re crushing it in your day-to-day?
Where do you feel out of alignment and balance? What might be contributing to these feelings?
What are you ready to let go of in order to achieve your potential and your goals? Just like trees let go of their leaves this season in order to grow new life in the springtime, what do you need to shed in order to make room for future you?
I completed this exercise this morning and here’s what I realized:
I have experienced a lot of accomplishments that I’m proud of this year.
I have experienced a lot of disappointments, heartache, pivots and redirection this year. All of this is equally as important and valuable as the accomplishments.
There is a direct correlation with caring for my needs and having my goals come to fruition.
Receiving support and mentorship is the greatest gift I can give myself now and as I continue to work to achieve ambitious goals.
Having clear goals is grounding. Detaching from the outcome when it’s out of your control is necessary to have the stamina to keep going.
